Stolen Kiss From a Prince

Stolen Kiss From A Prince by Teresa Carpenter

Charged with the care of the newly orphaned heir to the Kardana throne, nanny Katrina Vicente finds herself faced with an even more formidable task working alongside the boy's uncle, the devastatingly handsome Prince Julian, the prince regent.Desperate to keep the secrets of her past under lock and key, getting involved with a prince is the last thing Katrina needs, particularly with the world watching. But it's hard to ignore their instant chemistry;especially after one stolen kiss! Could her royal assignment be about to transform into the most magical of fairy tales?

I received this book from Net Galley for a honest review. Thanks to Harlequin for including our blog in their monthly themes.

Katrina has taken to the young prince Samson or Sammy as she affectionately refers to him.  His parents are missing after a crash and some idiot (aka his nanny) told him that they were missing and never coming back. Since then he has been inconsolable. Katrina is the only one that can get him to sleep and rest.  When his uncle Julian comes to collect the boy, she's attracted to him but she knows nothing will ever come of it. He's a prince and perhaps the next king if his brother and sister in law is not found.

Julian is under a lot of pressure. He is devastated by the accident that his brother and sister in law was in and are now missing. His father was so upset and sent him to collect Samson. While there he encounters Katrina and mistakenly thinks she's the reason Samson is so distraught.  He just wants to get his nephew and go home so he can over see the search for his family. Tessa, the nanny leaves and quits her job leaving Julian in the lurch to find a new nanny. Katrina goes home with them until a replacement can be found.

I do love a 'forbidden' romance. I say that with the quotes because this relationship was only forbidden in each of their minds. Her mind is thinking her past will come back to hurt all of the people she's in contact with. His mind thinks that he has way too much on his plate to even contemplate a real relationship with her. What they have is a mutual attraction and they act on it, both thinking it's for a short time and they are going to get as much as they can from it. Katrina get's spooked and runs. The question is will the prince run after her?

Fantastic read. I enjoyed it very much and it took no time at all to read. Check it out, you won't regret it!

These themes are so fun! I hope you're enjoying them too. Come back soon to check out the next book for April's theme of Billionaires.
